June Signed Paperback Giveaway

Standard

june giveaway

June is coming, and every year for my birthday I have given away a free signed paperback copy of my book “Diary of a Gay Nerd: Life After Child Abuse, It Gets Better!”  This year I am giving 2 books away, but one of them is not for my birthday, but to celebrate my goal of losing 63lbs.  When I get down to 200lbs, which I am very close to, I will give the book away.  I am so confident that I will make it to my estimated end date of June 2nd, that I am starting the giveaway anyway.

There are still two weeks left so you have plenty of time to sign up for the giveaway.  There will be 2 winners and all you have to do is leave a comment.  My blog will automatically pick 2 winners from the comments and when I announce who won, please be sure to send me a direct message on Facebook, or a DM on Twitter with your address so I can mail it to you.

My goal estimated end date is June 2nd, so I will make this giveaway end on June 3rd just to add a little wiggle room.  It gives me time and it gives you time to enter, so it’s really a win/win situation.

You will also get this homemade Translucent Rainbow DNA Plastic Lanyard Keychain, so please, leave a comment, or leave many comments and you might win a book.

UPDATE 2-3-2013: The winners are Karen and  Stacey!  Congrats to you both!

I would like to say first and foremost congratulations on the weight loss. It has been a struggle to reach a goal. I would also like to know how I can get one of your books if the odds are against me and I am not chosen to win this book. Also I love the key chain and would like to know if you are selling those as well.

I just have to tell you again what an inspiration you are to so many people. I think it’s amazing and courageous how you use your painful past to encourage some many people for their futures. Way to go on your weight loss! You look great! Can’t wait to see you hit 200 lbs!!!

Oh here it is! Ah, so ashamed 😉 So happy for you on your weight loss, you’ll be under 200lbs before you know it. Then, you’ll have people telling you, you’re too thin. ‘Tis the way it goes ❤

Moderator: 🙂 Don’t be ashamed, it happens to the best of us.

  5. I would love a copy of this. Child abuse is a serious matter. Being someone who’s gone through it the pain and the memories never go away. Bullying, child abuse, it all sucks and it’s horrible.

  7. I have asked and asked the local library to get your book. So far, it isn’t there. I want to read it so bad! I do thank you for sharing your story. You are an inspiration to those of us that are survivors of child abuse and are also GLBT. Happy birthday!!!

    • Now that the giveaway is over, I can finally respond to you on this. The book is only available through Amazon as a paperback, it is not available anywhere else yet. I have to pay a fee that I just don’t have the money for, but I will be making that available soon. It is available in ebook format for a lot cheaper if you have a Nook, Kindle or a iPad or Android tablet device that you can download the Nook and Kindle apps with. I encourage people to buy the ebook because they can loan it out. I hope this helps. Like I said, I will be paying that fee as soon as I can so it can not only be available in libraries, but also sold in stores.
